The Stories of our Orange, VA Heroes | Brothers PFC Thomas Ellis Gipson & SGT Clifton Lee “Pete” Gipson – WWII

PFC Thomas Ellis Gipson and SGT Clifton Lee “Pete” Gipson were brothers from the Madison Run area of Orange County that were drafted into the army less than a month apart and both lost their lives in Europe.  Pressure from the family forced details of Pete’s death to be not in vain.  Read the story of the memorial provided by Orange County in honor of all area men killed in World War II on page 8 of the Fall 2014 edition of the Historical Society Newsletter.
